The More I Learn, The More I Love

One of the most amazing truths I have learned in recent years is that we create our own reality. Our thoughts become things and how you think and feel will direct the outcome of your life.

Rather than living life by default (our emotions and reactions to life), we have the power to live our lives by design.

That is powerful!!!

Today, I want to talk about my dear friend and mentor, Wendy Ditta.

If anyone is "true blue" (as the saying goes) she is!

My husband, Jeremiah, and I met her a few years ago and have been super encouraged by her and honored to know her since! She and her husband both are one of a kind, and Jeremiah and I love their hearts for people.

This is Wendy, my husband, and I after our first coaching session! So much fun!

Wendy mentored us at the beginning of 2019 through the coaching program "Life Mastery and Beyond". I loved this program so much, and Wendy's insight into helping us navigate through tough personal situations was incredible. If you want to build your dreams in the most peaceful, loving way, get in touch with her!

She is a very no-nonsense type of person, very encouraging, understanding, and one of the least judgmental people I know. Not only is she a wonderful coach, but she is also an amazing author! Her book, "The More I Learn The More I Love" is worth every penny!

In today's post, I want to share with you some encouraging things from her book and what I have learned for my personal life.

In her book, Wendy talks about realizing your truth through openness and vulnerability. She teaches that choosing love, above all else, will transform your life and empower you to live authentically in everything you do. She believes genuine beauty is when you align your heart and mind to the healing power of love! In her own life, Wendy has come to a deep understanding that love truly changes everything!

I couldn't put her book down and purposely read it slowly, digesting the nuggets of life wisdom she dished out! There are powerful truths in there, and if you are ready to take your life to the next level, I suggest starting with "The More I Learn, The More I Love"!

If you want to create a life that you love, you must be willing to change the way you think. - Wendy Ditta

An important life lesson Wendy teaches in her book is that if we are going to live by design, then we must recognize our internal enemies.

* Taken from Chapter Seven "Creating A Life That You Love" pg.97-98

One of my favorite books

Internal Enemies:

  • Comfort Zone

  • Excuses

  • Denial

  • Lack of Self-Awareness

  • Procrastination

  • Playing The Victim Role

  • Jealousy

  • Living In Lack

  • Fear

  • Guilt

  • Judgment

  • Comparison

Wendy explains these internal enemies are traps in your life. We can recognize these traps as "old familiar patterns of thought that have hindered your growth and the progression of dreams".

By admitting that these patterns have been controlling your life and then "finding the strength and courage to master them", you will finally start creating a life you love!

One of the key internal enemies in my life was,

The victim role

This enemy of my dreams controlled every aspect of my life.

Wendy describes it as, "Poor me. Look what happened to me."

I had no idea until the year 2016, that the mindset of victimhood was controlling and determining the course of my life!

Wow! What a wonderfully empowering feeling it was to see what I couldn't see, course correct, and start a new journey!

I discovered I had the power within me to design my own life the way I wanted it, and playing the victim role no longer felt justified.

After years of fighting the turmoil inside of me, I relaxed into truth and love, and I started a whole new chapter...my chapter!

I'm feeling more at peace with the direction of my life than ever before! Truth is powerful!

I threw away my old limiting stories and started moving forward into healing with love and a positive attitude. I am leaps and bounds beyond who I used to be and it just keeps getting better!

Reading Wendy's book brought even more insight into the ME I aspire to be. Her vulnerability about her life and her struggles confirmed to me we're on this journey together and ultimately, it is up to us to live a life of love and surrender despite what our past may look like.

You may not have created the reality of your past. You may have had a rough past, abusive childhood, or a traumatic life, but the truth is you are now in control of your current reality and you can create something amazing with your life from this moment on!!!

YOU and ONLY YOU are responsible for your life NOW!

You can no longer blame family, friends, classmates, your co-worker, neighbors, your neighborhood, God, or Satan, for how your life turns out tomorrow.

You must look in the mirror and ask yourself, "How can I transform my life and become the greatest version of myself today"?

Do you have internal enemies that you need to face and deal with?

Don't wait around for someone else to change your life and the direction of your path. You have that power and you can start now!

I challenge you today to imagine your life beyond your past or even your current reality! Ask yourself if where you are in life right now is where you want to be 5 or 10 years from now.

I challenge us all to become the greatest version of ourselves, even from five minutes ago! Let's love ourselves enough to let our wildest dreams come true!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post today!

Love,

Charity
